People with Disabilities as ICT Consumers: Taking Market Research Seriously
June 13, 1:30pm
Anecdotes indicate that only a small minority of people with disabilities are actually using the ICT accessibility solutions that are available to them; the demand problem is more serious than the supply problem. A new public-private partnership on quantitative market research is exploring how people with disabilities inform themselves, decide, and act in the ICT market; and what can be done to improve practical results, through commercial and public policy initiatives.
