Press Release

The conference is being held March 18th - 23rd in Los Angeles and the archived streaming video coverage with captioned video streaming is being provided via AbleTV ( www.abletv.net), the web-based TV channel for people with disabilities on the TVWorldwide.com network. "CSUN plays an important role in providing information and education opportunities regarding accessibility, and Compaq is proud to provide access to the conference via AbleTV to people who are unable to attend."

"We are thrilled to be able to provide a streaming video with captioning of the keynote and other events during the day, upon which so many of AbleTV viewers and those with disabilities who can't make it to the show depend," said David Gardy, Chairman and CEO of TVWorldwide.com, Inc and Chairman of AbleTV. "Jeff Pledger, AbleTV's president, has been instrumental in working to provide CSUN coverage over AbleTV for the past 3 years."
The streaming video coverage will be hosted by Pledger who lost his sight 17 years ago due to illness. "We are pleased to provide captioned streaming for this live event webcast with TVWorldwide.com, " remarked Pledger. " We are grateful to Compaq for helping us set a new standard in supporting on-line accessibility."
